Job summary

Ivy Park at Escondido, managed by Oakmont Management Group, is a premier senior living community in Escondido, CA. The Activity Assistant will organize, promote, and direct activities and excursions to enhance residents' independence and quality of life.

Shifts run Tuesday through Saturday, 8:30 am–5 pm. Benefits include comprehensive medical plans, time off, and retirement options. The role requires planning, safety awareness, and teamwork to serve residents and families.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer one year of experience coordinating or teaching activities with seniors.
• Requires current Class C driver's license; Class B with Passenger Endorsement preferred.
• Able to operate a PC and be proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint).
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Activity Director in providing a rewarding social atmosphere throughout the Community and promote resident participation.
• Develop, recruit, manage and schedule Community Volunteers as requested.
• Communicate effectively and display tact with residents, families, visitors, co-workers, and supervisors.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff, residents, and guests, following safety standards.
• Able to drive Community vehicles.
• Encourage teamwork across departments.
