Job summary

HarborChase, LLC. in Palm Coast, FL is seeking a PRN Activities Assistant for Saturdays and Sundays, 9am–5pm. You will support planning and execution of community activities, help create the monthly calendar, and assist residents to participate while promoting independence.

You will assist with supply orders, occasional off-site outings, and tracking activity participation, ensuring a safe, respectful environment that respects privacy and safety for all residents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• Background in art, music, drama, or occupational therapy preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, associates, residents, families, and external contacts.
• One-year experience in a social or recreational program in a licensed health care setting preferred.
• Knowledge of Alzheimer’s Dementia preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the DLE with planning, coordinating and running all community activities.
• Assist with the planning of the monthly activities calendar and monthly newsletter (if necessary).
• Encourage residents to participate in community activities, assisting them to attend, while supporting the resident’s independence.
• Help with ordering supplies and equipment for regular activities.
• May be required to attend outings off-site and help to keep track of residents ensuring a meaningful and safe trip for all.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by the DLE.
• Help maintain the Activity Participation Tracking Chart, if applicable.
• Assist in the success of the community Parallel Programming schedule.
• When interacting with residents and/or family members, be mindful of the Residents’ Rights to Privacy.
• May be required to safely drive the residents to and from the activities when needed.
