Job summary

The Ivy of McKinney is seeking a Part-Time Activities Assistant (weekends only) to create a positive, engaging environment for residents in memory care and senior living settings. This onsite role focuses on activities that promote social connection, cognitive stimulation, physical activity, and emotional well-being.

Plan and lead daily activities, support games, crafts, music, events, and wellness programs, and encourage resident participation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with seniors preferred, especially memory care or senior living.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Creative, patient, and compassionate approach.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stay active.
• Weekend availability required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead daily activities for residents.
• Support games, crafts, music, events, and wellness programs.
• Encourage resident participation and engagement.
• Adapt activities for memory loss or cognitive impairment.
• Set up and clean up activity spaces and supplies.
• Collaborate with staff to create meaningful resident experiences.
