Job summary

The Ivy Castle Rock is seeking an Activity Coordinator for Memory Care to organize, schedule, promote and direct activities and excursions that enrich residents’ lives. This role supports the Memory Care program and collaborates with the Memory Care Director to create engaging and meaningful daily life for residents.

Responsibilities include coordinating high-quality activities, excursions, events and classes; maintaining safety and clear communication with residents and families; and supporting

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer one (1) year of experience coordinating or teaching activities with seniors.
• Requires current Class C, prefer Class B driver license to transport residents.
• Able to operate a personal computer and be proficient in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Oakmont Management Group may require vaccination, daily screening, surveillance testing and PPE per regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Memory Care Director in providing an interesting, creative, and rewarding social atmosphere throughout the Traditions area; promote resident participation through regularly scheduled activities, excursions, special events, guest speakers, and other activities.
• Communicate effectively and display tact and friendliness with residents, families, visitors, co-workers, and supervisors.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff, residents, and guests, following safety standards.
• Able to drive Community vehicles.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
