Job summary

Michaels Stores in Woodbury, NY is seeking a store associate to assist customers, process transactions, and support in-store operations. You will help customers locate products, promote the Rewards program, and participate in omnichannel processes like Buy Online Pickup in Store and Ship From Store.

The role requires staying on your feet, light lifting, and supporting daily merchandising, stocking, and storefront presentation to maintain an inviting shopping environment.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy boxes as needed.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions.
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards.
• Engage customers on the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and enroll them.
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey.
• Assist with Omni channel processes (BOPIS and SFS).
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs).
• Complete merchandise recovery and returns while keeping the store well-merchandised and in-stock.
• Conduct Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned.
• Support shrink and safety programs and adhere to SOPs.
• Interact with customers and colleagues professionally; uphold store values and be a role model.
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production.
