Job summary

The AES Corporation is seeking an experienced Interconnection Manager (WECC) to lead the WECC Interconnection team across development and execution of projects in the United States. You will guide analysis, budgeting, schedules, and coordination with internal partners to optimize interconnection outcomes.

The role requires leadership of engineers and analysts, travel up to ~20%, and deep knowledge of interconnection procedures, tariffs, and regional transmission planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years' work history in renewable or traditional energy development, or transmission planning.
• Experience with utility TRO/ISO or consultants in the targeted footprint preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the WECC Interconnection team through full lifecycle of development and project execution.
• Guide interconnection analysis, budget and study schedules, and prepare technical materials for approvals.
• Negotiate interconnection and engineering agreements to keep projects on schedule.
• Provide periodic reports and identify process efficiencies to improve outcomes.
