Job summary

AES Corporation invites a seasoned Interconnection Manager (WECC) to lead the interconnection team across the United States. You will steer the lifecycle from study through execution, coordinating with Transmission Strategy, High Voltage Engineering, and SCADA groups to optimize project outcomes.

The role requires ensuring favorable interconnection terms, managing budgets, and communicating progress with management. Travel about 20% is anticipated in support of interconnection activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in renewable or traditional energy development, or transmission planning.
• Experience with TRO/ISO or consultants in the target footprint preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead WECC interconnection team through full project life cycle.
• Guide interconnection study packages, budgets, and schedules.
• Negotiate interconnection agreements and engineering/Procurement Agreements.
• Coordinate with internal partners to ensure timely project execution.
• Travel ~20% to support field activities and stakeholder engagement.
