Job summary

SmartAsset is hiring for a Web Platform Engineer to join our remote-first team. You will work across front-end and back-end services, shaping the content management system that serves our financial information and user-facing tools.

You will collaborate with senior engineers and architects in an AGILE environment, driving the platform's roadmap, mentoring teammates, and delivering scalable web solutions in a startup-minded culture.

Qualifications

• 3+ years building, maintaining, and scaling web platforms with ReactJS and NodeJS.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases, SQL, Git, and AWS cloud design.
• Leadership in Agile environments with clear communication.
• Coaching and mentoring others to foster growth and collaboration.
• Startup mindset with fast-paced, cross-functional teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Be part of an AGILE SCRUM team responsible for running and scaling the web site.
• Collaborate with product team and stakeholders to complete sprint commitments.
• Participate in making key technical decisions and document improvements.
• Guide technical designs and roadmaps for the team's projects.
• Maintain a culture of learning and a 'no challenge is too big' mindset.
• Demonstrate excellent communication in a remote environment.
