Job summary

SmartAsset is hiring for a Web Platform Engineer on our fully remote team supporting the content management system that serves millions of users. You will work on both front and backend services in a dynamic AGILE SCRUM environment and collaborate with product, engineering, and design to scale our web platform.

You will contribute to architectural decisions, implement scalable solutions, and mentor teammates while thriving in a startup-minded culture that values continuous improvement and strong

Qualifications

• 3+ years building, maintaining, and scaling high-availability web platforms with Java, ReactJS, and NodeJS.
• Strong SQL knowledge, Git version control, and AWS cloud solutions.
• Proven ability to drive project success in Agile environments.
• Passion for mentoring others and continuous self-improvement.
• Ability to identify risks and mitigate them in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Be part of an AGILE SCRUM team responsible for running and scaling our web site and other web products.
• Collaborate with product teams and stakeholders to complete sprint commitments.
• Support key technical decisions and document processes as we revamp services.
• Guide technical designs and ensure roadmap implementation.
• Drive learning and improvement within a fast-paced, startup-minded team.
• Communicate effectively in a fully remote environment.
