Job summary

SmartAsset is seeking a Senior Web Platform Engineer to own and scale our web platform architecture using Java-based services, ReactJS, and NodeJS. You will collaborate with product and engineering teams in a fully remote, modern tech environment.

You will lead design discussions, mentor peers, and drive the roadmap with an emphasis on performance, security, and reusable services across the SmartAsset ecosystem.

Qualifications

• 3+ years building, maintaining, and scaling web platforms with Java or similar.
• Strong ReactJS and NodeJS experience for modern web apps.
• Solid SQL and relational DB knowledge.
• Proven ability to drive project success in Agile environments and mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Join a dynamic Agile SCRUM team owning the web platform’s technical and architectural domains.
• Collaborate with product teams and stakeholders to meet sprint commitments.
• Make key technical decisions and document processes as services are revamped.
• Guide designs and ensure successful implementation of the team roadmap.
• Continuously learn and drive improvements across technology, tooling and processes.
• Communicate effectively in a fully remote setting to support asynchronous work.
