Job summary

Lehman College, part of The City University of New York, seeks a web content manager to oversee the college's online presence and day-to-day content management for lehman.edu and associated sites. The role blends creative design with technical execution to keep a user-friendly, informative site that reflects Lehman College branding.

The successful candidate will drive content optimization, SEO/ADA best practices, and cross-department collaboration to ensure engaging, accessible web properties

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and six years’ related experience required.
• Ability to organize and present information on the web in intuitive ways for end users.
• Excellent writing and editing skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and customize web content management tool (Terminal 4) to streamline internal processes and create a website that better engages with external users.
• Design and create engaging web pages that present information clearly and succinctly.
• Implement and enforce SEO best practices, including for AI search (AEO), for content creators across the site.
• Be responsible for content optimization and successful organic search ranking of lehman.edu and other web properties.
• Establish and maintain internal processes and protocols for versioning, security, and ADA compliance.
• Work with faculty and staff stakeholders to ensure Lehman College brand adherence.
• Act as liaison between Communications and Marketing and IT for backend support; coordinate with vendors; communicate with cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with media relations, writers, graphic design, social marketing and multimedia teams.
