Job summary

San José State University is seeking a Web Content Migration Specialist to drive the one-year sjsu.edu redesign project. You will audit content at scale, justify decisions with data, and lead a Keep/Merge/Rewrite/Archive analysis across a 30k-page ecosystem.

Collaborating with a Content Strategist, you’ll prioritize migration work, monitor progress, and ensure accelerated timelines are met while maintaining strong governance and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a related field; experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.
• Two years of relevant experience required.

Responsibilities

• Migrate and manage a large-scale website content footprint (10,000+ pages).
• Develop a content governance framework with stakeholders.
• Oversee auditing tools to inform migration plans and actions.
• Identify outdated or confusing content for rewrite, removal, or reorganization.
• Organize content for external and internal university audiences.
• Analyze data from GA4, GSC, CrazyEgg, SEMrush to justify decisions.
• Create detailed migration spreadsheets and track content migration work.
• Build timelines and provide progress reports on content migration.
