Team Carney, a federal training and human capital solutions provider, seeks a detail‑oriented Trusted Tester - Level I (Web Tester) to evaluate Section 508 compliance across ICT deliverables and web applications. The role is part‑time (~30 hours/week) and fully remote, based out of Fredericksburg, VA.

You will apply DHS approved methods, document defects, and collaborate with development and instructional design teams to deliver accessible, compliant experiences for government clients.

Qualifications

• Active DHS Trusted Tester Version 5.0 certification or later.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• 2+ years ICT experience.
• 1+ year of Section 508 accessibility testing experience.
• Experience with DHS Trusted Tester Conformance Test Process for Web (v5.0+) and official DHS reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, test, and validate Section 508 compliance across ICT deliverables and web applications.
• Use DHS approved assessment methods, test reporting tools, and conformance processes.
• Document non-conformance defects and collaborate with development and instructional design teams to deliver accessible, compliant experiences.
