Job summary

Kestra Medical Technologies, Inc is seeking an ASSURE Patient Specialist to fit and train patients for a wearable defibrillator. You will travel to hospitals and patient homes around Tucson to ensure proper sizing, training, and documentation.

This contractor role requires in-field patient care, coordination with prescribers and caregivers, inventory management, and strict confidentiality. HIPAA and safety training are essential, with flexible hours as needed.

Qualifications

  • 1 year in a paid patient care experience (not as a family caregiver).
  • Clinical or engineering background including nurses, cardiac device sales reps, clinicians.
  • Disclosure of personal NPI number (if applicable).
  • Completion of background check; Florida and Ohio require level 2 screening.
  • Ability to pay for vendor credentialing upfront during a 90-day probationary period.
  • Experience in patient and/or clinician education.
  • Documentation of vaccination and immunization status.
  • HIPAA, Bloodborne Pathogens and Electrical/Fire Safety online courses completed.

Responsibilities

  • Fit and train local patients with a wearable defibrillator via training assignments.
  • Provide instruction and instill confidence in ASSURE patients.
  • Contact prescribers, caregivers and patients to schedule services.
  • Accept assignments that include daytime, evening, and weekend hours.
  • Travel to hospitals and patients' homes to provide fitting services.
  • Measure the patient to determine garment size.
  • Review and transmit essential paperwork to receive the garment and services.
  • Manage inventory of kit, garments, and electronic equipment used in fittings.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to privacy pledges.
  • Adhere to hospital policies and procedures.
