Job summary

Kestra Medical Technologies, Inc. seeks an ASSURE Patient Specialist (APS) in Freeport, IL to fit and train patients with a wearable defibrillator. You will act as a local patient care representative under the sales organization and Regional Clinical Advisors.

Training and certification as an ASSURE Patient Specialist are provided. The role requires travel to hospitals and patients’ homes, scheduling with prescribers, and managing equipment.

Qualifications

• 1 year paid patient care experience
• Clinical or engineering background in nursing, cardiac device sales, clinical engineering, cath lab tech, PA, or ECG tech
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record
• Ability to travel in Brownsville/Freeport area and surroundings

Responsibilities

• Fit and train local patients with a wearable defibrillator as ASSURE Patient Specialist (APS)
• Provide instruction and build confidence in Assure patients
• Contact prescribers, caregivers, and patients to schedule services
• Work day, evening, and weekend hours as needed
• Travel to hospitals and patients' homes to provide fittings
• Measure patient to determine garment size
• Transmit essential paperwork for garment/services
• Manage inventory of Assure system kits and equipment
