Job summary

Kestra Medical Technologies, Inc. is seeking an ASSURE Patient Specialist (APS) to support the sales organization by fitting wearable defibrillators and training patients in the South Bend, IN area. This is a paid per fitting contractor position.

The APS will be trained and certified as an ASSURE Patient Specialist and will travel to hospitals, clinics, and patients’ homes to provide fittings, training, and follow-up support while maintaining strict patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• 1 year in a paid patient care experience (not as a family caregiver).
• Clinical or engineering background (nurses, clinical engineers, ECG technicians, etc.).
• Background check completion; Level 2 in FL/OH where applicable.
• Willingness to pay DME fee deducted from work order.
• Ability to pay for vendor credentialing during a 90-day probation.
• Experience in patient and/or clinician education.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• Ability to travel in the region to perform fittings.
• Credentialing for hospital system entry; vaccination/immunization status.

Responsibilities

• Fit and train local patients with the Assure wearable defibrillator; complete training and certification as an APS.
• Provide instruction and build confidence in Assure patients.
• Schedule services by contacting prescribers, caregivers, and patients.
• Travel to hospitals and patients' homes for fittings; measure garment size.
• Manage inventory of Assure system kits, garments, and equipment used in fittings.
• Prepare and transmit essential paperwork for garment/services; adhere to confidentiality.
