Job summary

Bessemer Trust Company, N.A. is seeking an Software Engineering Lead for Wealth Planning to provide hands-on technical leadership across applications, workflows, and integrations.

You will translate the Wealth Planning roadmap into scalable, secure technology solutions, mentoring engineers and collaborating with business and technology stakeholders. The role focuses on modernizing legacy systems, establishing architecture standards, enabling GenAI use where appropriate, and delivering changes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including senior engineer/technical lead responsibilities.
• Strong software design and enterprise application architecture skills with experience delivering complex initiatives.
• Experience with modern web development including React.
• Experience designing and integrating REST APIs and enterprise systems.
• Strong SQL and relational database experience.
• Familiarity with source control, CI/CD, automated testing, and security scans.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work across tech and business teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical leadership for Wealth Planning applications and platforms.
• Lead solution architecture, design, and technical implementation.
• Ensure designs align with enterprise reference architecture and security controls.
• Remain hands-on through reviews, prototyping, and troubleshooting.
• Promote standard engineering practices and reusable components.
• Deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions with proper lifecycle management.
• Mentor engineers and drive collaboration with stakeholders across teams.
• Translate business needs into practical technical solutions and communicate tradeoffs clearly.
• Evaluate third-party platforms and drive integration strategies.
