Job summary

Bessemer Trust seeks an Operations Software Engineering Lead to own and evolve technology platforms for custody and client operations. You will partner with the Head of Operations to guide the roadmap, ensuring scalable, efficient operations and exceptional client service.

You will lead architecture, system integrations, and vendor management, driving automation and AI initiatives to improve accuracy and throughput. Strong leadership and stakeholder skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in financial services with a strong focus on software design.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum frameworks for managing and delivering projects.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using BitBucket, Docker and Terraform.
• Experience in using React for building responsive, user-centric web applications.
• Knowledge of designing, developing, and managing APIs on platforms like WSO2, REST and GraphQL.

Responsibilities

• Co-own the operations technology roadmap with the Head of Operations, aligning near- and long-term initiatives with business strategies and client needs.
• Define the target architecture for key operations platforms supporting custody and client operations.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the firm’s full operations technology stack, taking ownership of all tools, platforms, and integrations.
• Oversee and continuously improve back-office systems and integrations, with a focus on trust accounting and custody platforms.
• Partner with operations teams to translate business needs into technology solutions that streamline workflows.
