Wealth Management Client Services Specialist

Position Summary

The Wealth Management Client Services Specialist will possess the knowledge and experience to make recommendations and communicate effectively about complex client relationships, in addition to servicing clients and supporting the Wealth Management Team. The Specialist will report to the Wealth Management Client Services Team Lead or Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • This role covers four main areas: Sales Support, Compliance, Customer Service, and Teamwork.
  • Enhance client relationships through appropriate actions to strengthen ties with Busey.
  • Assist advisors in developing new sales opportunities by coordinating meetings, participating in client events, and distributing marketing materials.
  • Handle increased client communication via calls and emails, serving as the main contact for service needs and complex issues.
  • Implement the Proactive Client Engagement Model by managing onboarding/offboarding, preparing meeting materials, and coordinating client events.
  • Manage account receipts and distributions, ensuring compliance with account agreements and policies.
  • Address compliance issues, including account reviews and adherence to regulations and policies.
  • Mitigate risk by following Busey policies and verification procedures.
  • Serve as an escalation point for minor service issues and provide feedback for improving client experience.
  • Mentor new associates and assist the team in resolving compliance and customer service issues.
Education & Experience
  • Strong communication skills and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to multitask and work independently under time pressures.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or finance preferred, with two+ years of related experience in financial services with high-net-worth clients.
  • Must complete Wealth Management Specialist or Certified Wealth Strategist certification within 1 year; other certifications like CFP, CFA, CTFA, or CPA are recommended.
  • Minimum 6 hours of annual continuing education related to the role.
  • Proficiency in Trust Accounting systems, Microsoft Office, and Outlook.
Compensation and Benefits

Base pay ranges from $26.44 to $33.65/hour, with potential bonuses or incentives. Busey offers a comprehensive Total Rewards package including 401(k) match, profit sharing, stock purchase plan, paid time off, health benefits, life insurance, disability coverage, wellness incentives, and more.
