Professional Services Specialist - Custody/Law Enforcement

This is an hourly, full-time, remote role.

Candidates must have experience working for a US-based local public safety agency, with experience in writing and editing agency policy, to be considered.

The Work

The Professional Services Specialist plays a key role in ensuring client satisfaction with Lexipol’s policy content and platforms, aligning them with business needs, and resolving issues promptly. The role involves managing specific projects within defined scopes and timelines.

The Professional Services Specialist - Custody assists Custody/Corrections clients in customizing their policy manuals and bringing them online within set timeframes. This client-facing role involves policy customization guidance, managing Daily Training Bulletins (DTBs), and implementing policy updates.

The primary focus is to leverage team expertise to deliver high-quality project leadership, complete assigned tasks on time, and provide collaborative policy guidance.

Focus Areas

• Policy Implementation: Apply risk management principles, review policies for alignment, guide policy editing in compliance with legal guidelines, and ensure policies are practical and applicable.

• Project Management: Oversee project timelines, coordinate tasks, manage resources, gather client feedback, and ensure projects are completed on schedule.

• Policy Update Management: Coordinate review and edits of policy updates with clients, release updates, and maintain records.

• Daily Training Bulletin Management: Conduct monthly DTB validation and release, manage client records.

• Continuous Improvement: Provide process feedback and product improvement suggestions.

Minimum Requirements

• Experience in local public safety agency leadership in Custody or Corrections, at least at the first-line supervisory level.
• Two or more years of policy management and editing experience in a public safety agency.
• Experience with Lexipol’s online policy systems is a plus.
• Experience as an LE Accreditation Manager or with accreditation processes is a plus.
• Self-motivated, able to operate independently in a remote environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, business administration, or a related field with relevant experience, or an associate degree with more extensive experience, or 10+ years of relevant experience without a degree.
• Experience managing complex, long-term projects.

• Understanding of risk management principles in public sector.
• Strong project, organization, and time management skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and remotely.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet resources.

• Maintain a utilization rate above 75% monthly and achieve quality performance benchmarks.

Compensation and Benefits

Competitive salary, incentives, and comprehensive benefits including 401(k) match and flexible PTO. Hourly range: $30-$34/hour plus annual bonus.
