Job summary

Zane State College is seeking a Work-Based Learning Experiences (WBLE) Coordinator to develop paid and for-credit opportunities for students.

The role drives employer outreach across Muskingum, Guernsey and Noble counties, building placements, coaching students on professional skills, and ensuring alignment with curricula and grant requirements. This is a full-time, grant-funded position with travel and evening hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Two years of professional experience in employer relations or related field.
• Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the service district.
• Proficiency with career-readiness platforms or career-exploration software.
• Strong networking, outreach, relationship-management and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Outreach to regional employers across Muskingum, Guernsey and Noble counties to create 25+ new WBLE experiences annually.
• Recruit, screen and place about 50 students annually, coaching on workplace ethics, communication, attire and time management.
• Coordinate with deans, faculty and committees to align placements with curriculum and industry standards.
• Collaborate with Muskingum University WBLE Coordinator to leverage regional employer networks.
• Promote and administer Career Coach software to track engagement and placements.
• Collect and analyze data for Title III grant progress reports and compliance.
• Lead orientation sessions and workshops for students, faculty and partners; perform other duties.
