Job summary

WVU Potomac State College seeks a Learn and Earn Coordinator to lead development and expansion of paid on-the-job learning opportunities connecting students with employers. The role serves as the primary contact for Learn and Earn agreements, partnerships, and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field such as business, communications, education, marketing, workforce development, or higher education.
• At least two years of professional experience in employer recruitment, workforce engagement, or higher education/student services.
• Experience with on-the-job learning programs, apprenticeships, internships, or co-op programs is preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the primary point of contact for Learn and Earn programs, agreements, partnerships, and related activities.
• Develops and maintains employer relationships to expand Learn and Earn opportunities.
• Recruits employers and identifies student placement opportunities based on workforce needs and programs.
• Communicates program purpose, benefits, requirements, and expectations to stakeholders.
• Works with academic leadership to ensure experiences align with curricula and outcomes.
• Coordinates agreements and documentation between the college, students, and employers.
• Educates and recruits students for Learn and Earn opportunities and explains program requirements.
• Manages student placements and facilitates communication among students, employers, faculty, and leadership.
• Monitors participation and maintains records of engagement and program completion.
• Develops systems to track progress, participation, and outcomes.
• Plans employer open houses, recruitment events, and information sessions.
• Creates presentations and informational materials for stakeholders.
• Represents the college and Learn and Earn program at meetings and events.
• Maintains regular communication with employer partners to address concerns and sustain partnerships.
• Coordinates submission and monitoring of state grants and funding opportunities.
• Prepares progress reports, updates, presentations, and data summaries for leadership and partners.
• Collects and analyzes program information to evaluate participation, progress, and outcomes.
