Paxon invites applications for a Wave Planner at the Indianapolis 2 Fulfillment Center in Avon, IN. This role uses the FC Warehouse Management System to distribute work across labor pools efficiently, balancing client orders and picks with dynamic process paths.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years in warehousing or manufacturing, plus wave planning experience. Expect a fast-paced environment with strong safety adherence and opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2-4 years’ experience in a warehouse, distribution or manufacturing environment.
• Previous wave planning/expediting experience preferred.

• Must be able to hear and understand verbal instructions.
• Must possess the capability to walk or stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel and grasp products.

Responsibilities

• Wave planners need to have a strong understanding of priorities and manage expeditor to know priorities and expedite accordingly.
• Effectively communicates with outbound supervisors.
• Strong understanding and knowledge of WMS wave planning software is needed to evaluate issues and to maximize efficiency.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Investigate and Solve workflow issue using knowledge of all DC operations.
• Effectively communicates issues and directions to associates.
• Evaluates work processes for efficiency.
• All other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
• Follows all safety guidelines and performs in a safe and careful manner.
