Job summary

Macy's Distribution Center is seeking a Wave Planner to coordinate order release and flow across outbound processes. The role requires ensuring timely shipping, prioritizing queues, and maintaining stock accuracy with Inventory Control support.

Responsibilities include using WM wave planning tools, adhering to safety guidelines, and leading daily team meetings while promoting continuous improvement and dependable attendance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Familiarity with WM wave planning software is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Ability to understand and communicate with customers, co-workers, and supervisors.
• Basic math: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in computers and handheld technology.
• Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Follow all building guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
• Utilize WM wave planning software to balance outbound workflow.
• Ensure sufficient work for outbound processing areas to meet Ship On Time commitments.
• Set priorities for all work queues and report progress to area managers.
• Investigate cancelled tickets with Inventory Control to maintain stock accuracy.
• Ensure cartons are processed to Shipped status by end of each wave.
• Identify training opportunities in outbound processes.
• Maintain open, proactive communication and conduct daily team meetings.
• Encourage continuous improvement and involve associates in process/culture improvement.
• Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
