Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; BS preferred in civil/environmental engineering
• 3–5 years construction/maintenance experience in water facilities
• 3 years leadership/supervisory experience
• Ability to read & interpret construction drawings and reports
• Georgia Soil and Erosion Conservation Level 1B within 6 months of employment

Responsibilities

• Perform field investigations and respond to water/wastewater issues
• Respond to customer service requests; visit sites and determine corrective actions
• Use judgment in emergencies; communicate actions to supervisors
• Read maps/plans and locate buried utilities
• Prepare concise written site investigation reports and logs
• Coordinate with office staff to generate and forward work orders
• Inspect construction projects and document findings
• Provide clear communication with citizens and internal staff
