HDR is seeking a Business Class Director for Integrated Watershed Management. The role directs technical capabilities across the business class and collaborates with market sectors, operations, and management to ensure high-quality, multi-disciplinary project delivery.

The position emphasizes leadership, strategic planning, and client-focused growth, with significant travel. The incumbent will mentor technical leaders, drive risk management, and oversee planning, modeling, and design services

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in related field.
• Professional or Architecture/Engineering registration for leadership roles in technical design.
• Experienced in development and management of diverse teams.
• Works cooperatively with other business class directors, operations managers and marketing managers on business class efforts.
• Committed to quality, HDR values and an active employee-ownership culture.

Responsibilities

• Provide company-wide leadership of technical capabilities within the business class.
• Build close working relationships and coordinate with related business classes, market sectors, and operations.
• Lead and participate in technical risk management through process and resource reviews.
• Drive quality assurance and control processes and coordinate with the WBG Quality Manager.
• Oversee development and application of technical tools, standards, and techniques to enhance service quality and efficiency.
• Work with market sector directors to develop strategic plan for the business class and provide strategic input to leadership.
• Facilitate business class teamwork, communication and work sharing between offices, business classes, management, marketing, and staff.
• Monitor business class direction, adherence to policies, QA, technical tools, staffing and workload allocation.
• Build technical expertise and production capacity through recruitment and training; coordinate strategic hires within the group.
• Facilitate technical experts in support of client development and project pursuits.
• Ensure HDR representation in industry organizations and events.
