Job summary

HDR is seeking a Business Class Director for Integrated Watershed Management (IWM). The role ensures direction, coordination, and quality of work across HDR’s service lines in watershed management, water supply, groundwater, and water quality.

You will build relationships with other business classes, lead risk management, and drive strategic planning and client development. The position requires a Bachelor's in a related field, 10+ years of leadership experience, and professional registration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in related field.
• Must maintain a professional registration (PE/Architect) for leadership roles involving core service.
• Experience developing and managing diverse teams.
• Works cooperatively with other business class directors, operations managers and marketing managers on business class efforts.
• Committed to quality, HDR values, and employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Provide company-wide leadership of technical capabilities within the business class.
• Coordinate with related business classes, market sectors and operations.
• Lead technical risk management through process and resource reviews and advisory services.
• Drive quality assurance and control in collaboration with the Quality Manager.
• Oversee development of technical tools, standards and techniques to improve service quality.
• Help market sector directors develop strategic plans for the business class.
• Foster cross-office collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• Monitor performance and allocate resources to meet goals.
• Coordinate strategic hires within the business group.
• Represent HDR in industry organizations and events.
