Job summary

City of Atlanta is seeking a procurement professional to assist with the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) procurement and contract administration within the Watershed Management Department. You will support formal solicitations, contract management, and compliance with city ordinances.

The role requires strong knowledge of public procurement, RFIs/RFPs, and collaboration with internal stakeholders to deliver capital projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, Management, Public Administration, or closely related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience with 2+ years in procurement/purchasing and/or contract administration.
• Public procurement certification or related courses preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with procurement planning and execution of CIP projects for the Department of Watershed Management (DWM).
• Manages and tracks procurement of commodities and professional services contracts.
• Manages activities of complex contracts to ensure continuity of critical services and compliance with City code.
• Assists, reviews and prepares legislation documents for formal solicitations.
• Trains staff on policies and procedures and assists others with applying procurement concepts.
• Collaborates with internal stakeholders to support successful delivery of capital projects and operational initiatives.
