Job summary

Breakwater Beach Waterpark in Seaside Heights, New Jersey is seeking a hands-on General Manager to lead daily operations and ensure safety, guest satisfaction, and financial performance. The ideal candidate has proven leadership in waterparks or high-volume attractions, with strong skills in staffing, budgeting, risk management, and customer service.

This role requires a visible management presence during the peak season and a commitment to StarGuard ELITE safety standards.

Qualifications

• Proven management experience in waterpark or similar high-volume operation.
• Ability to lead multiple departments and seasonal teams.
• Strong aquatic safety, risk management, and emergency preparedness knowledge.
• Experience with budgeting, labor, scheduling, and performance metrics.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions under pressure.
• Experience recruiting, training, coaching, and accountability.
• Willingness to work extended hours, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership of daily waterpark operations including Aquatics and Front Operations.
• Ensure departments operate safely, efficiently, and in line with policies.
• Oversee staffing, opening/closing, and inter-department coordination.
• Maintain a visible management presence during peak season.
• Oversee aquatic safety operations and incident documentation.
• Lead and develop management and seasonal staff.
• Ensure guest experience standards and park cleanliness are upheld.
• Monitor budgets, labor expenses, sales, and COGS.
• Coordinate with maintenance for readiness and safety compliance.
