Job summary

Crescent Hotels & Resorts is seeking a General Manager for the Delta Virginia Beach Waterfront, a premier full-service property along the Chesapeake Bay. You will set the vision, lead operations, and drive financial and guest-satisfaction results while partnering with ownership and Crescent leadership.

The role demands a visible, hands-on leader who engages guests, associates, and the local community, delivering Marriott standards and Crescent expectations every day.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Hotel General Manager.
• Minimum 3 years of leadership experience within a full-service hotel environment.
• Demonstrated success leading hotel operations and delivering strong financial, guest satisfaction, and associate engagement results.
• Strong understanding of hotel financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, revenue strategy, and cost management.
• Proven ability to develop high-performing leadership teams and create an engaging workplace culture.
• Strong executive presence with excellent communication, relationship-building, and decision-making skills.
• Experience effectively partnering with hotel ownership and management company leadership.
• Marriott full-service experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for hotel operations, financial performance, guest experience, and associate engagement.
• Develop and execute the hotel's annual business plan, budget, forecasts, and operating strategies.
• Analyze financial and operational results and implement strategies that drive revenue, profitability, market share, and long-term asset value.
• Maintain strong communication and productive relationships with ownership, Crescent leadership, and Marriott.
• Create a culture centered on hospitality, accountability, and consistently exceptional service.
• Maintain a highly visible presence throughout the hotel, regularly engaging with guests and associates.
• Ensure the property consistently meets or exceeds Marriott brand standards and Crescent expectations for quality, cleanliness, service, and operational performance.
• Identify opportunities to continually enhance the guest experience and strengthen the hotel's competitive position.
• Recruit, develop, coach, and retain a talented executive and departmental leadership team.
• Create an environment where associates feel valued, supported, challenged, and empowered to deliver their best.
• Establish clear expectations and accountability while fostering collaboration across departments.
• Partner with People & Culture leadership to support associate relations, performance management, development, and succession planning.
• Partner closely with Sales, Revenue Management, Marketing, and Food & Beverage leadership to maximize hotel performance and identify new business opportunities.
• Serve as an ambassador for the hotel and Crescent within the Virginia Beach community.
• Develop relationships with key clients, community organizations, tourism partners, and local business leaders.
• Maintain awareness of market conditions, competitive activity, and emerging opportunities that may impact the hotel's performance.
