Job summary

American Pump & Drilling in Idaho Falls is hiring a self-motivated team member to assist with drilling operations and water-well development. You will help load/unload trucks, move heavy equipment, and support rig repair and maintenance. Overtime and safety compliance are essential components of the role.

Candidates should have mechanical aptitude, willingness to learn, and be open to cross-training. Class A CDL and MSHA certifications are a plus but not required initially.

Qualifications

Experience in drilling operations is a plus.
Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn and work hard are required.
Exposure to air rotary, mud rotary, reverse circulation methods is a plus.

Responsibilities

Assist Primary Driller with drilling operations.
Assist in loading and unloading trucks.
Lift 50+ pounds safely throughout the day.
Move equipment to and from drill sites.
Assist with water well development.
Assist with rig repair and maintenance as needed.
Cross-train into other job functions as needed.

APD has physical locations in Ucon, Idaho; Idaho Falls, Idaho; and Afton, Wyoming, and specializes in delivering water. This position will be based out of Idaho Falls, Idaho. Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities include:

Assist Primary Driller with Drilling operations
Assist in loading and unloading trucks
Can lift 50+ pounds safely throughout the day
Move equipment to and from drill sites
Assist with water well development
Assist with Rig Repair and Maintenance, as needed
Cross-train into other job functions, as needed

Desired Skills:

Exposure to Drilling is a plus, but if not, a mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn and work hard will be considered
Exposure to air rotary, mud rotary, reverse circulation and flooded reverse rotary drilling methods a plus
Welding and cutting experience a plus
General mechanic skills a plus
Willing and able to receive on-the-job training
Willing to adhere to strict safety rules and regulations
Willing to work overtime as needed to complete projects and meet deadlines
Thoroughness and attention to detail
Verbal and written communication skills
Class A CDL beneficial, Tanker and Combination Endorsements a plus
MSHA Certifications a plus
