Town of Davie is seeking an experienced maintenance technician for the Utilities Department to perform specialized electrical, mechanical, and electromechanical work in water and wastewater facilities. Under supervision, you will supervise lift station crews and perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and record-keeping.

Position requires a Class D license in Water or Wastewater treatment and the ability to obtain a Class B CDL within one year, along with a high school diploma and vocational

Formación

• Three years of industrial level experience in electrical and mechanical equipment installation, maintenance, and repair.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Education: High School diploma with vocational courses.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain and repair lift stations and mechanical/electromechanical equipment.
• Keep maintenance and personnel records.
• Requisitions required supplies and materials.
• Trains new employees.
• Supervises, instructs, and inspects work of assigned maintenance personnel to ensure proper performance of work and repairs.
• Performs preventative maintenance and repairs for departmental facilities, machinery, and equipment.
• Keeps records of preventative maintenance schedules.
• Lubricates equipment and checks for malfunctions.
• Reviews blueprints and engineering specifications to locate sewer lines, water mains, and other associated fixtures.
• Replaces packing and valves.
• Replaces bearings in motors, pumps, and other equipment.
• Cleans pumps and bar screens and performs other plumbing tasks.
• Adds chemicals at lift station as necessary.
• Maintains lift station records of flow and integrator readings.
• Maintains physical appearance of lift station, including mowing grass, painting, and housekeeping.
• Performs clean-up work after repairs are completed.
