Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer 2 years in a municipal public works environment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses basic WTP equipment and wastewater pump station issues and takes corrective action.
• Follows process control procedures; verifies and reports malfunctions.
• Inspects and troubleshoots equipment; procures necessary parts.
• Monitors and records observations in the shift log.
• Operates equipment via panels, computer terminals, and PLCs.
• Performs field tests to pace chemical dosages for process and odor control.
• Collects water samples using standard methods.
• Performs regular preventive maintenance and basic housekeeping of the work area.
