Job summary

Appleton Finn in Atlanta is seeking a Water & Wastewater Superintendent to oversee field operations on major infrastructure projects across the Atlanta area. You will lead crews and subcontractors, ensuring safety, on-time delivery, budget adherence, and quality standards.

The role requires at least 6 years in construction, strong scheduling and costs control, and the ability to interpret civil, structural, and piping drawings. OSHA 30 and plant experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 6 years of construction experience.
• Experience on water, wastewater, heavy civil, or similar infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of scheduling, sequencing, manpower planning, and cost control.
• Ability to interpret civil, structural, mechanical, and piping drawings.
• Experience managing self-perform crews and subcontractors.
• OSHA 30 and treatment plant construction experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily field operations, personnel, subcontractors, equipment, and site logistics.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, look-ahead plans, and production goals.
• Coordinate work with drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.
• Oversee treatment facilities, pump stations, structural concrete, underground utilities, piping, and equipment.
• Monitor productivity, labor, materials, equipment, and project costs.
• Identify field risks, constructability issues, and schedule impacts.
• Enforce safety policies and OSHA requirements.
• Conduct quality inspections and coordinate testing, commissioning, and closeout.
• Maintain daily reports, manpower records, timecards, and progress documentation.
• Mentor Assistant Superintendents, Foremen, Field Engineers, and craft personnel.

A leading national general contractor is seeking an experienced Water & Wastewater Superintendent to oversee field operations on major infrastructure projects throughout the Atlanta area.

The Superintendent will lead crews and subcontractors while ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily field operations, personnel, subcontractors, equipment, and site logistics.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, look-ahead plans, and production goals.
• Coordinate work in accordance with drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.
• Oversee scopes including treatment facilities, pump stations, structural concrete, underground utilities, process piping, and mechanical equipment.
• Monitor productivity, labor, materials, equipment, and project costs.
• Identify field risks, constructability issues, and schedule impacts before they affect production.
