Job summary

Appleton Finn is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead water and wastewater infrastructure projects in the Atlanta market. You will manage projects from startup through closeout, overseeing financial performance, scheduling, contracts, client relationships, safety, quality, and team development.

The ideal candidate has at least 7 years of construction experience, with hands-on leadership on water, wastewater, heavy civil, or related projects, and a degree in Construction Management or

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of construction experience.
• Experience managing water, wastewater, heavy civil, or similar infrastructure projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Strong knowledge of project controls, scheduling, cost forecasting, contracts, and change management.
• Proven experience leading construction teams and maintaining client relationships.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with treatment plants, pump stations, process piping, structural concrete, or underground utilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead water and wastewater projects from preconstruction and mobilization through completion and closeout.
• Manage project budgets, cost forecasting, schedules, contracts, and change orders.
• Coordinate with owners, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and field leadership.
• Review financial projections, cost-to-complete reports, and project performance.
• Resolve contractual, technical, scheduling, and operational issues.
• Establish and maintain strong client relationships.
• Develop and implement quality assurance and quality control plans.
• Partner with field and safety leadership to ensure project procedures and safety requirements are followed.
• Lead, mentor, and develop Project Engineers, Assistant Project Managers, and supporting staff.
• Ensure projects meet profitability, schedule, quality, and customer satisfaction goals.
