Job summary

Tighe & Bond is seeking a Project Manager 2 for our One Water Team in Middletown, CT. You will lead and deliver drinking water and wastewater infrastructure projects along the Northeast, coordinating across disciplines, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and funding requirements.

You’ll mentor teams, prepare construction documents, engage clients and stakeholders, and help grow the practice through proposals and new opportunities in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
• Considerable consulting engineering experience with increasing responsibility in the water and wastewater industry.
• Licensure as a Professional Engineer
• Demonstrated project management experience and strong technical skills
• Strong leadership ability with a passion for managing and mentoring others
• Clear, concise, and effective written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Manage the execution of projects from initial concept through construction completion, promoting adherence to technical, regulatory, and funding requirements
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and guiding them through funding options, permitting, and project execution
• Supervise multidisciplinary teams, providing technical leadership, mentorship, and oversight for successful project delivery
• Prepare and overseeing the development of construction documents, including permit applications, drawings, specifications, opinions of cost, and reports, while maintaining high-quality standards
• Attend meetings with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to address project needs and resolve design challenges
• Manage budgets and schedules, keeping projects on track while meeting client expectations and industry best practices
• Support the strategic growth by identifying and pursuing new project opportunities and contributing to proposals, interviews, and other business development efforts with new and existing clients
