Job summary

RESPEC seeks a Water/Wastewater Project Manager in Colorado, overseeing projects in the Water market from Colorado Springs to Loveland and Denver. The role focuses on delivering engineering solutions for water and wastewater challenges with a sustainable, client-focused approach.

Ideal candidates have a PE license in Colorado, 5+ years in relevant projects, and strong leadership, communication, and financial management skills. Travel within assigned locations is expected.

Qualifications

  • ABET-accredited degree in civil or environmental engineering.
  • PE license in Colorado or ability to obtain within six months.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in water and wastewater projects.
  • Experience managing scopes, schedules, budgets, and teams.
  • Strong knowledge of water/wastewater systems and treatments.
  • Excellent communication and leadership; valid driver's license.

  • Lead water and wastewater engineering projects from scope to delivery.
  • Manage schedules, budgets, and multidisciplinary project teams.

Job Description

RESPEC, seeks a Water/Wastewater Project Manager in our Water market sector, located in Colorado Springs, Loveland, and Denver, Colorado.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Colorado or the ability to obtain within six (6) months
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing and delivering water and wastewater engineering projects
  • Demonstrated experience managing project scopes, schedules, budgets, and multidisciplinary project teams
  • Strong knowledge of water treatment, wastewater treatment, collection systems, distribution systems, and pumping facilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, client management, and leadership skills
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record; position requires operating a company or personal vehicle during work hours for business-related travel

Preferred:

  • Experience developing and leading professional service proposals and project pursuits
  • Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships and generate repeat business
  • Experience managing project financial performance and supporting backlog growth
  • Proficiency with hydraulic modeling, CAD design, and project management software
  • Active participation in professional organizations and industry conferences
Additional Information

Compensation: Salary depends on experience and expertise. The typical salary range for this position is $100,000 to $155,000 Compensation includes a comprehensive fringe-benefits package. RESPEC is a 100 percent employee-owned company and employees are eligible for participation in the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) after a qualifying period.
