Job summary

Alexander Associates Technical Recruitment is seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Manager to support its Central Texas team in Austin. The role involves managing municipal water and wastewater projects from planning through construction and coordinating cross-disciplinary teams to deliver quality design and regulatory-compliant solutions.

The candidate will lead client meetings, prepare technical reports, and help develop business with local clients, while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering required.
• Active Texas Professional Engineer licence required.
• Minimum six years of municipal water or wastewater engineering experience.
• Design experience across water or wastewater infrastructure or treatment facilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage municipal water and wastewater projects from planning through construction.
• Deliver design reports, technical studies, memoranda, plans and specifications.
• Oversee water distribution, conveyance, pump station and storage projects.
• Manage wastewater collection, force main and lift-station assignments.
• Support water, wastewater and reuse treatment or master-planning projects.
• Establish project scopes, schedules, budgets and staffing requirements.
• Coordinate civil, process, structural, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation teams.
• Monitor project accounting, progress, milestones and technical quality.
• Lead client meetings, technical workshops and project presentations.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies and supporting consultants.
• Mentor engineers and support the development of the Central Texas team.
• Participate in proposals, conferences and business-development activities
