Job summary

GAMARC Consulting is seeking a Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer for our Austin, TX office. You will lead design teams, plan, analyze, and execute municipal water and wastewater projects across Central Texas, overseeing scopes, schedules, and budgets.

The ideal candidate holds a Texas PE license with 12+ years of technical experience, including 5+ years in PM, and possesses strong knowledge of water/wastewater regulations.

Qualifications

• Texas PE license with 3+ years licensed experience.
• 12+ years of technical experience; 5+ years in project management.
• Bachelor's in Civil Engineering; Master's preferred.
• Strong knowledge of water and wastewater regulations; demonstrated leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of water and wastewater pipelines, pump stations, and treatment facilities.
• Prepare plans, specs, cost opinions, schedules and permits for designs.
• Manage project scopes, schedules and budgets; oversee QA/QC and workloads.
• Lead multiple projects and clients concurrently.
• Coordinate design drawings with the CAD team.
• Maintain regular client and team communication; conduct project meetings.
• Support business development with technical proposals and BD efforts.
• Collaborate with finance on fee proposals, forecasting and invoicing.
• Perform equipment evaluations and develop technical reports.
• Travel as needed between Austin and San Antonio.

The client is seeking a technically competent and experienced Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer for immediate hire in our Austin, TX office. As a subject matter expert in water and wastewater engineering, you will lead teams, plan, analyze, and design projects for municipalities across Central Texas.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design of water and wastewater pipelines, force mains, pump stations, lift stations, treatment plants, water supply systems, and solids handling facilities.
• Prepare plans, specifications, cost opinions, schedules, and permits for preliminary and final designs.
• Manage project scopes, schedules, and budgets while overseeing design, QA/QC, and project workloads.
• Simultaneously manage multiple projects and clients.
• Coordinate design drawings with the CAD team.
• Maintain regular communication with clientele and project team members, including conducting regular project meetings.
• Work with the marketing team to pursue opportunities, prepare technical proposals, and support business development efforts.
• Collaborate with the financial team on fee proposals, project forecasting, reporting, and invoicing.
• Perform equipment evaluations and develop technical reports.
• Light travel, primarily between Austin and San Antonio, as project needs arise.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
• Licensed PE in the State of Texas for at least 3 years.
• Minimum 12 years of technical experience, with 5+ years in project management.
• Strong knowledge of water and wastewater regulations.
• Proven leadership experience and ability to take projects from start to successful completion.
