Job summary

GAMARC Consulting in Austin, TX seeks a Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer/Project Manager to lead teams, plan, analyze, and design municipal water and wastewater projects across Central Texas.

You will manage scopes, schedules, and budgets, coordinate with the CAD team, pursue opportunities, and support business development while delivering compliant infrastructure. Light travel to San Antonio as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Masters preferred.
• Texas PE license for at least 3 years.
• Minimum 12 years of technical experience with 5+ years in PM.
• Strong knowledge of water and wastewater regulations.
• Proven leadership to deliver projects from start to finish.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of water and wastewater pipelines, pump stations, and treatment facilities.
• Prepare plans, specifications, cost opinions, schedules, and permits.
• Manage scopes, schedules, budgets; oversee QA/QC and workloads.
• Simultaneously manage multiple projects and clients.
• Coordinate drawings with the CAD team and stakeholders.
• Engage with clientele through regular project meetings and reporting.
• Support business development with proposals and marketing collaboration.
• Collaborate on fee proposals, forecasting, and invoicing.
• Perform equipment evaluations and develop technical reports.
• Light travel between Austin and San Antonio as needed.

Location: Austin, TX

Duration: Full-time

The client is seeking a technically competent and experienced Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer for immediate hire in our Austin, TX office. As a subject matter expert in water and wastewater engineering, you will lead teams, plan, analyze, and design projects for municipalities across Central Texas.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design of water and wastewater pipelines, force mains, pump stations, lift stations, treatment plants, water supply systems, and solids handling facilities.
• Prepare plans, specifications, cost opinions, schedules, and permits for preliminary and final designs.
• Manage project scopes, schedules, and budgets while overseeing design, QA/QC, and project workloads.
• Simultaneously manage multiple projects and clients.
• Coordinate design drawings with the CAD team.
• Maintain regular communication with clientele and project team members, including conducting regular project meetings.
• Work with the marketing team to pursue opportunities, prepare technical proposals, and support business development efforts.
• Collaborate with the financial team on fee proposals, project forecasting, reporting, and invoicing.
• Perform equipment evaluations and develop technical reports.
• Light travel, primarily between Austin and San Antonio, as project needs arise.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
• Licensed PE in the State of Texas for at least 3 years.
• Minimum 12 years of technical experience, with 5+ years in project management.
• Strong knowledge of water and wastewater regulations.
• Proven leadership experience and ability to take projects from start to successful completion.
