Job summary

Kingfisher Recruiting is seeking a Water Resources Project Manager for a private engineering firm in northern New Jersey. The role covers water and wastewater projects from planning through construction, with a hybrid on-site schedule in Parsippany (Morris County).

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in water/wastewater consulting, a NJ PE license or comity eligibility, hands-on design authorship, and strong client relationship skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• 8+ years of water and wastewater experience in a consulting environment.
• New Jersey PE license or eligibility by comity with NJ licensure expected.
• Hands-on design authorship: drawings, specs, basis of design, permits.
• Knowledge of NJDEP regulations and permitting process.
• Experience carrying client relationships and writing fee proposals.

Responsibilities

• Full lifecycle project management for water and wastewater projects from planning through construction.
• Scope, schedule, budget management including proposals and scope negotiation.
• Direction of the design team producing drawings, specs, basis of design reports and contract documents.
• Front facing regulatory coordination with NJDEP (Treatment Works Approvals, NJPDES).
• Maintain client relationships with municipal and authority clients post-project.
• Coordinate funding with NJ Infrastructure Bank, NJ Water Bank and SRF programs.
• Mentor project engineers and junior staff.
