Job summary

EWI Recruitment is seeking a Professional Engineer – Water/Wastewater to support planning, design, delivery, and optimisation of essential water and wastewater infrastructure projects in Charlottesville, VA. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver sustainable, cost-effective solutions across treatment, distribution, and transmission systems.

Qualifications

Recognised degree in civil, environmental, chemical, or water engineering.
Professional registration or eligibility for registration where applicable.
Experience in water and/or wastewater infrastructure design and project delivery.
Knowledge of relevant codes, guidelines, approval processes, and health and safety practices.
Experience with design and modelling software and project management tools is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Prepare and review technical reports, feasibility studies, designs, specifications, drawings, tender documentation, cost estimates, and construction support materials.
Undertake engineering analysis, hydraulic modelling, process assessments, and option studies.
Ensure designs comply with legislation, standards, safety, and environmental obligations.
Site inspections, construction support, commissioning assistance, project scheduling, risk management, and progress reporting.
Review contractor submissions and maintain accurate project documentation.
