Job summary

Kokosing in Baltimore, MD seeks a Civil Project Manager to plan, direct, and coordinate large-scale civil/industrial projects. You will ensure goals are met within time and funding parameters, working through field supervision and office staff.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in Civil Engineering or Construction Management and 3–5 years of related experience, with proficiency in CPM scheduling (Primavera), cost data, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university.
• 3-5 years of experience in related field.
• Proficiency with CPM scheduling and project management software.
• Ability to interpret plans, specifications, and cost data.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and understand plans and specifications.
• Follow administrative procedures as outlined in the Project Administration Manual.
• Inspect construction site to monitor progress and ensure conformance to plans and safety standards.
• Produce accurate schedules using CPM scheduling programs.
• Supervise submittal process and working drawings requirements.
• Prepare reports, specifications, and environmental studies as necessary.
• Provide contract interpretation and clarification.
• Maintain and update project schedules with monthly updates and weekly look-ahead reviews.
• Understand and report cost and productivity data.
• Review, approve, and submit progress billings and monitor job costs.
• Coordinate change orders and claims settlements with Project Manager.
• Respond promptly to issues; manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Maintain organized project correspondence files and subcontractor insurance compliance.
• Ensure underground utility notifications and locations are compliant.
