Job summary

MWH Constructors, Inc. in Gresham, Oregon is seeking a Project Engineer to support preconstruction and construction efforts on water and wastewater infrastructure projects for municipal and industrial clients.

Based in the Gresham area, you will help with subcontractor procurement, layout, and project controls. The role requires a bachelor's degree in CM/ENG, 2–5+ years of experience in heavy civil or industrial construction, and familiarity with PM tools like Primavera, Expedition, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field; equivalent experience allowed.
• 2–5+ years of construction, design, and management experience; heavy civil or industrial projects preferred.
• Familiarity with PM databases such as Primavera, Expedition and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Assist with subcontractor procurement and management, layout, material and equipment procurement, and project controls.
• Conduct quality inspections to ensure compliance with permits, codes, drawings and specs.
• Prepare documentation records including submittals, status reports, and calculations.
• Produce drawings and sketches to support construction work and change orders.
• Manage RFIs, approvals, and permits; coordinate site meetings and progress reports.
• Maintain project management systems and track correspondence and technical records.
• Support claims review, change orders, and coordination with estimating on takeoffs.
