Job summary

MWH Constructors seeks a Project Engineer to support preconstruction and construction efforts on water, wastewater and advanced treatment projects in the Gresham, Oregon area. You will assist project managers, review subcontractor packages, manage documents and RFIs, and help ensure work complies with drawings and specs.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 2–5 years in heavy civil or industrial construction, with familiarity in Primavera, Expedition and SharePoint.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years of construction design and management experience.
• Experience on heavy civil or industrial construction projects.
• Familiarity with Primavera Contract Manager, Expedition and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to project management and supervision staff to keep construction on schedule and compliant with policy and standards.
• Assist with subcontractor procurement, package development, material and equipment procurement, submittal review, and project controls.
• Perform ongoing quality inspections and verify work complies with permits, codes, drawings and specs.
• Prepare and issue documents such as submittals, status reports, sketches, material calculations, and progress reports.
• Prepare drawings and sketches to support construction work and change orders.
• Maintain project management systems, controls, and record keeping; review correspondence and minutes.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field
