Job summary

Core & Main, based in St. Louis, is a leader in providing reliable water infrastructure solutions. This outside sales role focuses on large water and wastewater projects, coordinating multi‑stage shipments and delivering precise material takeoffs and proposals.

You will cultivate relationships with engineering firms, public agencies, and developers, expand market presence, and provide technical guidance for plant projects across the region.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of outside sales experience in waterworks, civil, mechanical, or distribution.
• Experience supporting large infrastructure or plant environments (water/wastewater treatment).
• Strong technical aptitude; civil engineering background is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specs, and engineered designs.

Responsibilities

• Manage project workloads for treatment plant and critical infrastructure projects.
• Present customer-provided material lists and complete BOQ packages.
• Coordinate multi-stage shipments to align with construction schedules.
• Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and execution throughout each project lifecycle.
• Apply strong knowledge of water, wastewater, and civil/mechanical processes for solutions.
