Job summary

Aqua, an Essential Utilities company, seeks motivated individuals to join our water and wastewater teams in Fort Wayne, IN. As a FO Trainee you’ll train toward certifications and serve across treatment and collection systems.

You will respond to customer questions, perform daily plant duties, and support other departments. This entry-level path offers career progression to FO I–III and opportunities to grow within a national utility leader.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license.
• Ability to read, understand and follow operating instructions.
• Strong communication and customer-service abilities.
• Comfort with computers and basic software tools.

Responsibilities

• Operates treatment processes and equipment in water/wastewater facilities.
• Operates and maintains wastewater collection system.
• Performs daily plant duties including sampling and housekeeping.
• Responds to customer questions and complaints.
• Supports other departments, including customer service.
• Performs On-Call duties for plant issues.
• After training, may work weekends as part of regular schedule.
• Performs other duties or special projects as requested.
