Job summary

Aqua America, Inc. is seeking entry-level Facility Operator Trainee to support water production facilities, wastewater systems, and distribution networks.

The role includes on-site operations, safety, and documentation as part of a 24/7 operation across the Essential Utilities footprint. You will progress through licenses (Class 4 to Class 3 water/wastewater) with structured pay scales and on-the-job training, while contributing to reliable water services and protecting public health.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• No previous experience required.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment at water production facilities and booster stations.
• Operate and maintain distribution systems including mains, valves, hydrants and service lines.
• Perform routine water quality analysis per procedures.
• Adjust chemical treatment to meet water quality standards.
• Complete customer service work orders and documentation.
• Work safely and in compliance with policies and regulations.
