Job summary

Aqua, a pivotal water and wastewater services provider, seeks a Facility Operator to support operation of water production facilities, wastewater treatment sites, lift stations, and distribution networks. The role reports to the Field Supervisor and involves hands-on equipment maintenance and regulatory compliance.

Progression is structured through FO Trainee to FO III levels with licensure milestones, offering hourly pay from $25.52 up to $34.93 and annual growth with license upgrades.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License required.
• Strong preference for experienced and licensed water and/or wastewater operators.

Responsibilities

• Maintains equipment at water production facilities and booster stations.
• Operates and maintains distribution systems including mains, valves, hydrants and service lines.
• Operates and maintains wastewater treatment facilities and lift stations.
• Operates and maintains sewer collection systems including mains and pump stations.
• Performs routine water quality analyses and ensures regulatory compliance.
• Reads and follows operating instructions; documents activities and closes work orders.
