Job summary

Nexus Water Group is seeking an Operator Water-Wastewater II in Lake Lure, NC. You will operate and maintain treatment equipment, monitor compliance, perform sampling, and manage logs to ensure safe, compliant plant operation.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years mechanical experience, incl. chemical treatment of water/wastewater
• Valid driver's license
• Experience reading meters and recording data
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and internal software
• Strong safety and regulatory compliance focus

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain water/wastewater treatment equipment and monitor compliance with environmental limits.
• Read meters/gauges, adjust treatment levels, and compile log reports.
• Inspect for safety hazards and coordinate with maintenance vendors as needed.
• Assist with emergency procedures and handle routine plant operations and repairs.
